1. Seafood has a limited freezer life
and three months are about it for most of it. I have 3 pounds of shrimp that are approaching that point and will probably end up in salads, not as scampi or stuffed shrimp.

Hoarding seafood just plain does not work, alas.

Should seafood become prohibitively expensive at Costco, I'll just go back to tofu breaded with half and half cornmeal and Reggiano cheese and served with either shrimp cocktail sauce or tartar sauce. It's close enough to fool a heavy smoker and will suffice for me because I like tofu.

It's either that or salt cod, and I dislike salt cod.
