Now that's going just too damn far!
Was in the pasta aisle the other night. I'm a snob about my pasta- use only Barilla. Figure "If it's good enough for Mario, it's good enough for me" :silly:...and I do like it better than the other stuff.

Anyway, figured I may as well pick up some ramen noodles while I was there...having been an impoverished college student every now and then I get a crave on for some chicken-flavored Top Ramen (sliced onion, ground rosemary, either turkey weiners or leftover chicken...and a splash of chablis if I had it was my tweak-of-choice to make it palatable...we all have them, right? :hi:).

I'm sure a lot of us have also had periods in our lives when mac-n-cheese was a staple.
I don't mean REAL macaroni and cheese; I mean the cheap stuff-in-a-box- it ain't healthy, but it keeps you going. For some reason, every so now and then your taste buds want to revist this...er...delicacy.

This is where I found this...this...ABOMINATION. Some things should not be meddled with. Some things should not exist and were not meant to be.
I have no problem with fusion cooking. People should get together and exchange ideas; some of the best food IS fusion, and alloys tend to have greater strength than the sum of their parts.
Still...
That is no excuse, reason, or rationale for the bastard hybridization that resulted in...
Gods, I can hardly bring myself to type it...
:hide::yoiks:

MAC & CHEESE FLAVORED RAMEN NOODLES
:wtf:

We're doomed.

1. ha!
I don't know what's in those little ramen packets, but once in a while I crave the taste and use a pkg of chicken ramen in a stir fry. I love ramen noodles in stir fry. My favorite these days goes like this:

oil, minced garlic, grated ginger thumb, fresh pea pods, green bell pepper, onion, broccoli, cabbage, unsalted cashews, diced cha siu (BBQ pork), sesame oil, shake of red pepper flakes, ramen packet, lots of sesame seeds, and the ramen noodles which I very briefly simmered in another pan. I finish with a bit of sherry.

Other veggies may go into the wok if they are on hand, but I really like this mostly green combination. The cashews are for the protein to balance out the carbs.

I make it with Evaporated Skim Milk and just one teaspoon of Butter :wow: It's a really good and healthier alternative to that Blue Crack in a Box. I got it bad for that stuff too :hug: :scared:
