I'm enjoying some of the new Food Network Shows. Let's dish...
I've loved Anne Burrell since her days as a sous chef to Mario on Iron Chef America. I think she has my favorite show now. I just get a kick out of her talking to her food and her enthusiasm for cooking. Anne is closely followed by .....get this....Brian Boitano. What a hoot and a half he is and he has some good ideas.

Alex Guarnaschelli has some lovely food and some wonderful ideas but I find her very annoying and a slow talker.

And although he's not on the Food Network much anymore...Thank God....Is there anyone else out there that can't stand Rocco Dispirito as much as me?

1. when are these people on?
I've never seen any of their shows except Boitano (who I want to live next door to!}. We must be on opposite schedules. I've seen Alex on Iron Chef, I think.

Our current favorites are Chopped, Chef v. City, Dinner Impossible, and of course Good Eats. Oh, and I like Ina Garten but rarely see her. I get a little tired of her feeding Jeffrey though.

2. They're on weekend mornings

I have my DVR set so I'm not sure if it's Sat or Sunday. Try to Catch Anne though....I think I may have a major crush on her. And I agree....I want to live next to Brian too. Who ever thought he'd have so much personality. I always thought he was kind of boring as a skater. Gifted and beautiful but sort of on the dull side.

Here's a brief snippet of one of first shows. She's cranked up the personality quite a bit since then

6. Oh ya gotta see his show
He's really got a flare for the cooking. He's hysterical and certainly not shy with the camera. He's a refreshing change from all those other guys (except for Elton) on the food channel who think the only way you'll listen to them is if they Scream at you.

3. I half saw a promo that looked like it was for another food channel
called The Cook's Channel, or something like it. The bit of promo I saw looked like a bunch of stoned out college kids doing Rube Goldberg arrangements involving food as an end product, but I'm ready.

I don't often watch Food, they've gotten away from cooks and gone wholly to chefs. Nobody cooks like that at home if they're sane unless they've got money enough to hire sous chefs and a cleanup crew when they're doing ultra fancy dinner parties.

If what I saw was for real and not just semi hallucination since I'd just gotten up, it's about time. Let's hope there are a few cooks on it.

4. I love all three of your choices!
I was really glad to see new Brian Boitano shows. He even uses the South Park tune for his theme song!

I could listen to Alex talk about eating toilet paper. She is just that good.

Anne has had to grow on me. She has gotten better with time.
