to go window shopping and have lunch. It was lovely if a bit warmish. Lunch was a Stella Artois and fish and chips (with peas) at a real pub (next time I want the ploughman's lunch or bangers and mash). Once tipsy and full, I walked the streets and window shopped. I went into Sur La Table, and wanted to find a tiny kitchen tool, but they were out of them.
But I was in luck. At Crate and Barrel they didn't have any on the shelf, but a nice young lady said they had them and went down to the basement and rummaged for about 10 minutes.
So I bought myself TWO orange peelers at the fabulous cheap plastic price of .75 ea.
Orange peelers - you know, those things that score the peel, and then the other end is flattish and separates the peel from the flesh instead of using a fingernail. My sister and BIL have had one for years, from the days when BIL's dad lived in FL, but I have never been able to find them for sale anywhere since, and didn't want to have to pay shipping if I bought online, lol.
But now I am the proud owner of TWO - one for home and one for the office.
I would have preferred to buy a complete set of table dishes AND some Le Creuset, but alas, it isn't meant to be for now.
