So they don't want you to change your microwave bulb...
it's too dangerous and you could leak radiation. You need a special tool to do it and it's not recommended. But the microwave works just fine otherwise.

'Cept I can't see if something is boiling. I can't even see what's in the microwave.

Will I adapt, lol?

Paying to replace the bulb is more than buying a new one. WTF?

1. Unless your microwave is built-in or of a special size, I'd bet
you could buy a new one for less than the cost of paying someone to replace the bulb. This sounds like such a rip off. I assume you contacted the mfgr and was told not to do it yourself.

W will soon be rep
Check Craigslist is you feel you need to replace it. Bring a glass container half full of water in order to test the machine to make sure it runs and (with cover removed) heats up to specs.

I need to see what's going on inside mine.

3. My daughter ran into this problem with her ancient, but still perfectly functioning,
microwave recently. She just decided to continue using it without the light.

4. It's not as ancient as our previous ancient one, lol...
I think I'll do the same as your daughter.
