My newest favorite kitchen tool
Peel, slice and core a pineapple in less then 30 seconds. I usually only buy fresh pineapple a few times a year because they are a pain to peel and core but I will be buying them an lot more often now. I should have gotten one of these a long time ago.

Made by Vacu Vin.

1. Yes they are pretty nifty
I've enjoyed mine a great deal...What I'm enjoying more though is that my grocery is now selling tubs of the fresh already peeled and cored for the same price as the whole plant. I would never have known if I hadn't been chatting up the produce manager and he mentioned that he does a bunch every day.

2. Fresh pineapple is my husband's favorite fruit
so I buy one every week. No big deal to clean it really. I've got it down to an art so it doesn't take me long at all with a good sharp knife.

:hi:

3. This is one of the
redeeming qualities about capitalism. Not the tool, the fact we can get fresh pineapple 1,000 miles from where it's grown. Of course, how the lands where the pineapple grows were obtained is a different story.......... :)

4. That last statement is very true.
I wish there was an abundance of fruit that grew year round locally. Sigh.
