Kitchen pics
I don't post here much, but I lurk a lot. I have really enjoyed seeing other ppl's kitchen pics, so I thought I'd post some of my own. Ignore the half nekkid 4yo. I can't keep clothes on the boy here lately!

I hope y'all keep posting pics. I get great ideas from them lol! Free decorating advice. ;)

1. Ahhhhh, the ultimate kitchen accessory,
half-naked child. I have that one too!

Love the blue cabinets. Did you paint them yourself? I am thinking of painging mine if I ever get around to it. My whole kitchen is so bland, all white and tan. Some color would perk it up.

3. I painted them
They were white and I hate them lol. I'm going to do the top ones cream in a couple of months.

2. We had three of those
... two boys and one girl ... they eventually come to like wearing clothes, so no need to worry. They also grow up and leave. That's the best part! ;)

It looks like you have high ceilings .... 9 feet? I wish we had the taller wall cabinets. Ours are only 30" high. Yours look to be at least 36".

I also like the two color scheme of the cabinets. We're going to either paint or replace our cabinet doors and have been thinking of that sort of treatment.

5. We have the nekkid boy and two girls lol
They used to drive me nuts changing clothes ten times a day. At least he doesn't do that lol.

We have 9 ft ceilings. I think the cabinets are 40". I looked at new cabinets but the cost was just too much. Primer and paint worked out pretty well. I'll be re-doing the white cabinets cream soon.

4. What a cute kitchen!
Tell me about painting the cabinets. I need to paint mine and could use some suggestions (I don't want to listen to my husband because he makes everything into a major project! ;))

I have a hard time taking pictures that don't have dogs in them! :D

6. Thx! The cabinets were a pain in the neck lol
Just primer and paint, but use one of those little sponge rollers or you get streaks lol!

7. i too, love the bi color cabinets and the two blues work very well
together

are you taking the top cabinets a lighter shade of the one on the counter tops? that would look awesome. Maybe even do a faux finish on them so you get the same effect

do you use the cast iron hanging on the wall? if so, doesn't it mess up the paint?

I love the windchime by the sink, is that a lamp hanging down? with a blue shade? what is that directly above the sink?? it looks great there, whatever it is lol. I really like your faucet too, I have the same sink but a much lower faucet and when I switch out the sink, I'm planning on adding a faucet like yours

very nice (and the naked child is a precious accessory :D

9. I matched the cream for the top to my dishes
You can see a little of them on the little shelf in the window. It's McCoy Brown Drip and the cream in one the edges.

I do use that cast iron lol. I put two coats of high gloss blue on the walls, gave it a week really harden up, and then added three coats of high gloss non-yellowing poly. The walls are shiny, smooth, and hard. Grease, etc wipes right off without messing up the paint.

The sink...thanks re: the windchime. There is a shell one on the opposite of the window. They're great on these spring days when the windows are open. The light above the sink has two glass globes, the inside one blue and outside one clear. That light was a great clearance find at Lowes. So was the faucet. I used to have one of those low faucets with the dual hot/cold nozzel. A real pain in the neck with big stock pots and washing crock pots etc.

8. Very nice!
Thanks for sharing your kitchen with us.

I love having pots & kitchen utensils hanging over the stove - it is SO handy.

I like how you painted the walls a lighter blue than the cabinets. Cream-colored top cabinets will look great.

It looks like you've made very good use of your space. Nice tall, light.. I'l bet you enjoy your time fixing meals and treats for your family there.

You boy is awfully cute too!

10. Thanks!
It's small so maximizing space was imperative lol! Small as it is, it's still the household hang out spot (witness the boy lol)!
