15. Every time you post it, I make a mental note to cook it soon
and promptly forget. I need to put the ingredients on my shopping list right now. :)

Hope you guys are feeling better now.

My Mom is dying, I'm just back here for two nights to get clothes and stuff.

It's good to cook, though. :)

4. Everyone look away - we are having our quarterly red meat feast
it will punish us, but I have this quarter's 2 inch thick ribeyes that should just now be at room temp for the butter/cast iron blazing they are about to receive.

We eat steaks just a few times a year....ad yes, we love them when we do

We know the farmer they came from, so yay for that too! Down the road from where I grew up and am now working to restore to sustainable farmland.

31. It was just OK...my fault most of it
I did not marinade, which I usually do, so I take full blame...the taste was great...a marinade would have gone a long way to a little more tender

so, my review is ambivalent

5. I am not cooking tonight.
Mr.sazemisery is playing bridge and they always try to outdo each other when it comes to their food. I made a sad face and said, "I'll just suck on ice cubes.".

A bowl of cereal and a good book.

34. cereal
I moved 3-1/4 years ago, and know I haven't bought any in that time. I haven't bought a single box of cereal. Do they still make KIX? I should buy some me some KIX. Mmm.

6. Tostada's and lots of them...
The wife and child left me all alone for the week so I get to eat whatever I want.
Tonight, tostada's! Tomorrow, we ride! Or something.

7. Bill's eating
leftover pizza and a green salad. I'm munching on a few corn tortilla chips. I was hungry earlier but when we got home and discovered the cat box really needed changing and I forgot to pick up litter, I had to get back in the car and run 8 miles into town and 8 miles back. I'm no longer hungry.

I do have some Ain5 sitting out to be baked later and am making some rice so Bill can take the leftover stirfry from the other night to work in his lunch tomorrow.

I do have fixins for chili and it does sound so good. That's what I think I'll fix tomorrow night.

If I don't forget. :eyes:

8. hey HW!
I have used newspaper torn in strips in that kind of litter emergency. It might work with your kitty. I put a weekend section in the bottom of the box, and then tear up some other pages in strips.

and watched I Robot.

Sorry you had to run back. I hate being in a car, so it would be torture for me.

9. well, I was planning to make this pork recipe...
.....that I haven't made in years. It's from a Hawaiian cookbook, with pineapple and ginger and garlic. However, it turns out there will only be two for dinner, so I'm putting that off for another night and we will have omelets and salad.

29. Boca Burgers. And they were good!
If you put a pan-fried boca burger on a toasted, buttered bun, top with either ketchup or bbq sauce, a few slices of swiss cheese and maybe a leaf of lettuce, it is quite good.

Also served asparagus and some organic wild rice purchased on our recent trip to Northern Wisconsin. I sauteed some onions to put in the rice.

32. I am making tomato basil tart. Found fresh, cheap basil and beefsteak tomatoes
at Trader Joe's. Yum.

And going to grill some chicken that needs to be cooked. I am now back on my boat and anything that was frozen needs to be taken care of ASAP!
