As a joke, for Christmas, I bought my wife a veg-o-matic

(that's just the kind of guy I am)

Unfortunately it was $20.

Now what do I do with it??

Or have you even tried it? LOL

2. Not much
Now if you'd gotten her one of these:

you'd find a million uses for it, from grating cheese to making a huge tub of slaw with a much easier cleanup than a food processor.

I've had mine for 35 years and it's right up there with the Kitchen Aid mixer for the most useful kitchen gadget award.

3. My dog (yes. THAT dog) ate my glasses, so I can't really tell what that is
Doesn't matter, since she can't cook for shit anyway.

Some people like to drive, some like to be driven.

Some people like to cook, others like to be cooked for.

6. I used to have a plastic and stanless steel Mouli!
I wore it completely out. I didn't know you could still get those handy things. I just might have to make a bid on that! Thanks, Warpy for the link!:hi:

8. Mine is all tin coated steel
and remains the best Xmas present my drunken ex ever bought me. I've had to rebend it a few times to tighten up the plates, but it's still going.

I could lose the Cuisinart and never miss it. You'll have to pry that Mouli from my cold, dead hands.

11. I'm going to get one next month. Looks like it would make asparagus soup a lot easier
Separating pulp from inedible stringy stuff, I mean.

5. You should have bought a Salad Shooter, even less useful.
She could thank you for saving her a ton of work just using the thing. Of course, there are other options you could have chosen. Clapper? Chia Pet? ShamWow? The list is endless. Think of how much you saved by buying just the veg-o-matic.

You should see the pile of useless stuff that is going into my sometime-in-May yard sale.

7. My sister bought me a lovely Williams-Sonoma fish poacher for
Christmas one year. Just lovely. I am single, and rarely invite anyone over for dinner (since the BF went by the wayside). I have LOTS of use for a pan that holds an ENTIRE large fish............

To her credit, I did actually use it twice for poaching some salmon filets, but I didn't need a large oblong poacher to do it.
