recipe

feedback on this ?? do you boil or no?

1. "No Boil" can work fine
Sparkly's made it that way. I recall she also used a jarred sauce specifically for that purpose, but I'm not sure you need that. I've not done it myself, but I have heard it is easy and successful. If it is on the back of the box, I'd go for it.

7. Rocky's in the neighborhood
Last I saw on the Fedex tracking, Ol' Mr. Rocky left Lewisburg, PA. Prolly onna truck headed this way down I-83. They say estimated delivery is tomorrow.

3. I make lasagna the "no boil" way
and it turns out great. I use a jar sauce, whatever I am in the mood for at the time, but I am sure it would be even better with homemade sauce of course. We also prefer cottage cheese, and I add a bunch of fresh basil to it. Comes out great, and doesn't take much time to prepare.

4. i just put it in the oven
made a 15x9 two layer goodie

they only asked for 1 pound of ricotta i used two hehehe and glad i did

i fried up some burger with red onion and a yellow bell, a couple cloves of garlic, some italian seasoning and basil then added a tomato basil jarred sauce with a 1/2 cup of water

a little sauce, a layer of noodle, layer of cheese, repeat. had enough cheese left over to dollop some on the top and covered with parsley

one hour and counting.........

Turns out fine. :) Discovering that I didn't have to boil the noodles
allowed me to cook lasagna in my Dutch Oven when we go camping. :)

11. It gives a nice change from the usual camping menu,
ie hamburgers and hot dogs.
Beware, though, you'll have everybody in a 5 mile radius drooling. :)

12. I don't either
I use the regular lasgana noodles. I've found that there is enough moisture in the sauce and ricotta to cook the noodles. Also the lasagna doesn't slide around as much when you serve it.

6. Haven't boiled for years.
You will need a bit more sauce though, to provide enough liquid for the noodles to absorb.

just make sure when you make it that all surfaces of the pasta are covered with sauce.
