Easy Valentine's Day Trick
I bought a jar of cherries and blended them into an 8-oz package of cream cheese. I added some powdered sugar but not too much.

I was trying out a recipe for a Valentine's Day dessert for my husband. I made a pan of chocolate chip bar cookies with walnuts and used this for the frosting. It was very good--and very pretty.

This makes quite a bit of frosting so you'll have plenty to try on other items.

1. Thanks for the tip!
Cherries and cream cheese are two of my favorite things! Might be nice on devils food cupcakes too. :)

3. That sounds really good

Last year at Valentine's I was pastry chefin.' Came up with a dessert for the weekend.

Sponge cake (I learned jelly rolls/sponge cake from a Master -one trick is room temp eggs ;) ) cut into heart shapes, sandwiched with really nice raspberry mousse, drizzled with dark choc ganache and presented with raspberry coulis, mint leaf and raspberry garnish.

AH, I miss that kitchen. Owner says will open four months after insurance settles, whenever that is....sigh
