Is there a safe cooking spray (like Pam) to use?
I've always just rubbed olive oil or butter when I need a good non-stick cooking surface.

However, I just got this great new chicken roasting pan with a rack in it, and I'm thinking cooking spray might be better for that? I noticed they used a cooking spray on Test Kitchen.

So, are there any good cooking sprays out there that aren't loaded with scary ingredients? Or will rubbing the rack with olive oil or butter on it work just as well?

Thanks for any pointers!

-Matt

1. Many sprays are just oil and a propellent
But the packaging makes them hugely expensive. Buy one of those air pump oil sprayers and just use whatever oil you wish. I use olive oil in mine. It works just fine - but so does careful rubbing of the pan with oil! :)

I'm not usre what brtand mine is, but it looks almost identical to this one:
