I dunno why I thought about this right now. The movie was made back in the 80s. Dom DeLuise and Anne Bancroft were in it. Bancroft directed (maybe wrote ... not sure).

A sweet, gentle movie about overeating. A comedy thagf made you feel real good.

Anyone ever see it?

1. Just added it to my Netflix queue
I watched the trailer and it looks like something I would like. Anne Bancroft, Dom Deluise, what more can you ask for? Thanks for the tip.

2. It sounds vaguely familiar
And was hoping maybe it was On Demand now.

I do remember Dom D being such a great guest on the Tonight Show decades ago. He always used to talk about his family and growing up. another good guy born in Brooklyn! :D

3. I watched it at my cousin's house years ago
I don't remember much about it except that I didn't find it funny. It paralleled my own living situation at the time for me to get a smile out of it. Maybe now that things have changed I might find it amusing.

4. Probably partially if not totally autobiographical.
Dom DeLuise has a love affair with food.

I have his recipe book and most of the items are really tasty.

6. Yes, I saw it. It was very funny and very sweet.
He meets a girl. Tries to lose weight with no help from his family and friends, even though they link-chain shut the fridge and cupboards closed. Then comes the absolututely hilarious binging among them all.

It is hysterical and has a happy ending.

Good movie to see, if you are a Dom fan.
