Nachos
I am having a craving, and don't have any refried beans on hand.

Is it going to work if I use black beans on nachos instead of refried?

Sharp Cheddar, Monterey Jack, jalapenos, garlic chunks, salsa, onions.

All heated and melted over tortilla chips.

Topped with sour cream, more salsa, guacamole, chopped green onions.

Will black beans screw this up?

1. My husband actually prefers black beans to refried.
You can still mash them if you want so they "stick" to the chips better but as far as flavor, no problem -- at least, not here in Austin! In fact, a lot of Mexican restaurants here offer black beans instead of or in addition to refried. :hi:
