3. I was just thinking about Beef Stew in the Pressure Cooker today
Deep and Rich with just a splash of wine. I like to make it with baby potatos and baby carrots with Celery and whole cloves of garlic. I love it when the gravy comes out deep and a little shiny.

The weather will be turning soon enough and it'll be stew weather again.

8. i used baby carrots and celery
Mr. Ketchup isn't big on garlic, but I did sneak about a clove's worth of the pureed stuff in

no baby taters, had to use up some regular russets before they were too far gone.

no wine for me, I used beef broth with a TBSP of flour and a tsp of Kitchen Bouquet. it was numnum

4. Try pressure cooked chicken sometime
ALL the flavor stays in the pot. Free range chicken comes out fork tender.

5. That's how I make chicken soup
As the chicken is pressure cooking I prepare the veggies. Then when the veggies are going in the chicken broth for a few minutes I'm removing the meat from the bones. Such great flavor that I can't ever keep myself from nibbling some of the super tender chicken as I work.

11. Great minds...
Or maybe it's great appetites..

I bought beef stew meat the other day for my some veggie beef stew. Getting on toward Fall
and time to put that pressure cooker to work on soups and stews.

I brown the beef in the pot first then add carrots, onion, potato (or large white beans OR corn), chopped collards or green beans, and V-8 juice. Ready in 30 minutes. Great with cornbread.

We had one about 40 yrs ago but I am kinda afraid of them or are they more safe now ? I must think about getting another one if they are. Mrs. Moose
