Sunday Brunch, with thanks to hippywife
I have salivated over the Artichoke Benedict since hippywife posted it. All week I've planned and schemed and dreamed about Sunday Brunch in Damnright, Oklahoma, U.S.A.

I used pancetta instead of canadian bacon. I made grits last night and spread them in a pan and this morning cut circles and breaded them with seasoned bread crumbs and sauteed in olive oil. I had a fresh melon from the farmer's market so I wrapped slices in proscuitto.

Here's to you, Hippywife. Mr.sazemisery is one happy man today.

1. Oh, yaaaaa!
I'd be pretty dadgum happy if someone made that for me, too! And proscuitto wrapped melon with it is a nice touch, too.

Good on ya, J.! I'm glad you tried it and the Mr. is a happy pup. :hi: :loveya:

2. Damnright, Oklahoma?

I'm too lazy at 7:30 a.m. to look this up, but is it a real place? I wouldn't put it past Okies to name a place like that, and if it really existed i might want to buy a condo there - just for the sake of the name.

Pic looks good. I love artichoke.

3. Damnright, Oklahoma
LOL, Tab. I live southeast of Muskogee, Oklahoma, in a rural setting nestled into a crook of the Arkansas River. In the 28 years I have lived here, I have seen it go from farmland to a small rural community. The local townspeople refer to this area as Gooseneck Bend but the inhabitants, fearful of the inevitable annexation to the town, have vowed to incorporate this area under the name of Damnright. It pisses the townies off and they leave us alone.
