Angelcots---Unbelievable--Run to your TJ's if you can

I picked these up at my TJ's in Everett WA, yesterday. They sort of taste like a combo of Plums and apricots. Not like a Pluot at all, this is more Apricoty.

From the Trader Joe's info there are only two acres of these planted.

I'm not easily impressed with food hybrids but these are just amazing. The best fruit I've had in years.

1. I looked at them and passed them up.
Damn.

They looked kind of green to me.

2. Yes they have a light green hue to them

I've eaten the softer ones in my little basket and they were sublime. I'm having the SO make another TJ stop tonight to get some more. Hopefully they're not all gone.

I think they may be crossed with green gage plums.

3. I looked today (CA), didn't find any down here. Got "plumcots" though.

(?) Green hue, as well. Great aroma. I'm having them for dessert after curry tonight.
