What'd you do for breakfast?
Me: 2 egg omelette with Monterey Jack cheese and 1.5 sundried tomato chicken sausages (http://www.alfrescoallnatural.com/products/index.htm?pg=2&subpg=1&sub2pg=6). When I get to work I'll chase it with some fresh rotgut coffee and an apple.

You?

2. 1/2 of a baby watermelon
It had been chilled in the frig--umm. Tasted wonderful after three hours of work in the garden already.

Then I had some mint tea that I made from my own mints growing in the garden.

8. I just planted some mint - in a pot so it can't spread.
I was wondering how to make tea out of it once it gets going. Do you just pour hot water over the leaves and let it steep for a few minutes, or is there something else?

I had a homemade wheat cranberry sunflower seed flax muffin and a banana. Easy to eat on the drive in to the office.

Omelettes are frequent weekend breakfast fare, tho.

17. Today? Milky way double made tall with skim milk sugar free syrup and
Edited on Wed Jun-11-08 04:40 PM by mtnester
just a quick hit of whipped cream.

Same as every weekday morning.

Weekends it is a different story...I am thinking some fried mush this weekend, nice and crispy on the outside, with real maple syrup and butter. Yep. Or some really cold watermelon in my jammies outside on the porch at around 5:00 AM when it is quiet and pretty out.Saturday morning though, a coffee with my mother:

She died 4 years ago on the 14th...so I go to the coffee shop, get her a snowcap with double whipped cream, and I get my coffee, and I sit with her a bit. I also cover her grave with rose petals....tons and tons of flowers. I need to get everyone a photo of her grave landscaping (she was always the one who did that in all the cemeteries, it is now my job and EVERYONE watches what I do cause they love it...so would Mom)

So, mush on Sunday then!

On edit, the above is a pic of when I left a christmas card as well as a coffee...she and I share coffee all the time....the cemetery regulars know every single holiday for us as a family now!

I miss her.

18. my weekday breakfast....
One egg, and oatmeal with cinnamon and agave nectar, with 1/2 a scoop of vanilla protein powder stirred in. Steaming hot french roast coffee. Mid-morning snack is an organic oat cake and a cup of green tea.

All in all, pretty healthy! :-)

19. Homemade granola
(oats, raisins, sliced almonds, walnuts, coconut, maple syrup, brown sugar) and fat free yogurt, sometimes Greek style honey flavored yogurt.

Sometime I do a wheat bagel with cream cheese or oatmeal with some fruit and nuts whatever I have handy.

When I have bbq prior I usually have cornbread left over which gets used for breakfast with some honey maybe a piece of fruit.

And ALWAYS coffee.

20. I am a creature of habit
Toast one English muffin. Top one side with 1 tablespoon of peanut butter. Top the other side with 1 tablespoon of apple butter.

Serve with one very large cup of cinnamon coffee (the mug actually holds 16 oz). Sweeten to taste with raw sugar (I use about 2 teaspoons). Add fat free condensed milk (again I use about 2 teaspoons). Chill beverage on warm days for a refreshing change.

I will occasionally vary the routine by using butter and honey on the toasted muffin.

24. I had Stonyfield FRENCH Vanilla with flaxseed today!
not the low fat one...When I do yogurt, I always do the whole milk all the way yogurt. IMO it has an entirely different constistency which I love.

And a couple of handfuls of dried cherries.

25. Granola with dried fruit and soy milk
I just decided to give the soy a try (unsweetened since the fruit is pretty sweet), I'd otherwise use cow's milk. I usually add an apple or pear, this morning it was grapes.

28. Homemade granola with NF milk. Hot tea with milk and sugar.
I like to sleep in as much as I can in the AM, lol, so don't have time before work to do "real" breakfast. That's reserved for Sundays, when my favorite is either Potatoes 'n' Eggs or some sort of omelet.
