1. Paula Deen for me; but it was hard choosing just one
Edited on Thu Feb-28-08 07:12 PM by dotcosm
So many of them irritate me for various reasons.... but Paula, I can't get to the remote fast enough to change the channel, I just dislike her shows that much.

edit to say that the other one who is a very close second is the color-coordinated lady, omg, I cannot stand watching that show!

4. Hard to choose just one for me, too,
but I have to stick with Rick Bayless. Good recipes, just his personality rubs me wrong.

5. Emirl annoys me most
Don't really know why.

I think it's the fact that he doesn't have a neck.

10. And how did she manage to cram 50 teeth in there?
I have to say her food looks and sounds like something I'd eat, something that puts her ahead of some of the other contenders.

Just don't expect me to watch her more than once a month.

12. Her big head allows for all those extra teeth
I hate the dubbed in sound on her show. The production values are WAY over the top. The dubbed in herb chopping sounds grab me the most.

15. AAHH! I hate that, too!!
(the dubbed-in sound, that is)

And the chocolate episode where her mom was on with her--double bleah. Too much cutesy-poo and giggling. JUST COOK, ALREADY! :puke:

8. Well, since you're my competition with my secret boyfriend
I won't tell. We'll keep him all to ourselves. And what was up with the trashing of our "lova" in the lounge the other day....

11. Giada
I don't even know why I don't like her, but boy I just don't. My favorite lately is Duff and the Ace of Cakes gang. I love how totally serene they all are. They just crack me up. And the cakes are amazing.

14. Too many to choose just one.
:banghead:

My real problem with those TV chefs is the network's insistence on
producing daily shows, and that still doesn't seem to be enough to
fill the air time.

After a while, the hosts all start sounding frazzled.

Except for Giada, the Valium Queen with 8 cameras and a Hollywood crew.
The filters used in that show give me a headache.

Most of the techniques viewers need happens during the commercial breaks.

My daughter has tried to duplicate some of those recipes, and she can't do it
based on the TV show alone. She usually has me talk her through the nitty gritty
(on the phone).

16. The original Iron Chef's Morimoto
It's not him personally, it's those INGREDIENTS that make me squirm and turn away. Eeeewwwwwwww. Just can't take it!
