First night cooking in my new kitchen.
Backsplash is not up, and the dishwasher is not functional, but the stove and sink work and I have a counter top :bounce:

Heaven! Pure heaven! Everything seems to flow nicely. I have been missing cooking so much, and I finally used up some of those surplus tomatoes from my garden. I made a double recipe of tomato soup, half for now, half to freeze.

The tile guy comes tomorrow, electrician will finish up next week and then I am done! No more remodeling for me for a long, long time.

1. awesome! and I feel your pain on the tile thing
the guys working here (understandably) want to do all the tile at once so i'll get a new shower, then a new floor in the guest bath THEN the tile in the kitchen

on the good side, I found a guy today who's building me a free standing double drawer unit for my silverware that my espresso machine can live on top of

that will just about solve my kitchen (until I paint)

so we'll have pics tomorrow then? when the tile is done?? :bounce:

2. Probably do pics next week.
After the tile is in, the electrician will finish the outlets in the backsplash. Until then, there are big, gaping holes where the outlets should be.

Glad you are getting settled in. Lots of work, but at least the uncertainty is gone.
