So, What do I do with this (ca 1847) Oregon Trail Sourdough Starter?
i got my free pkg of Carl Griffith's 1847 Oregon Trail Sourdough dried starter today... and am getting into a new kitchen next month!
(hey, H2S, i got questions for ya in Home improvement!)

so waffles, all kinds of bread,pizza dough, beginner recipes, fave recipes. Gimme your best links + tips folks!
i'll need them because i am an absolute beginner! tks y'all!

1. do an advance search with "housewolf" as the author
she has done a couple great posts on breads of all kinds

and she's a really great lady and would probably be happy to answer a PM on sourdoughs, they are one of her passions

3. I love the Alaska bread recipe
It's huge, though. I make half, and it makes one very large loaf. Making the whole recipe would be too much for the bowl of my KitchenAid mixer.

When you put it in the oven, be prepared for some bounce. It really rises after it goes in.
