I need a new peeler. Is there a decent one out there?
I am so tired of my old peelers, they are rusty and no longer sharp. I have tried a couple of new ones but I don't like the way they work. I ususally give up and grab a paring knife. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

1. I have an OXO peeler, and love it.
I think the America's Test Kitchen folks even rated this one highest or next-to-highest. And that fat, soft grip makes it much easier (and safer) to use.

2. Thanks.
That soft grip looks nice. I usually end up with a cramp in my fingers before I am done peeling. LOL

Thanks for the suggestion.

4. You're welcome! I've had mine for 10 years.

...And the blade's still plenty sharp.

On edit: And note the tip of the blade holder--it's sharp and divot-y, and is great for digging out potato eyes and those funky dark spots on potatoes, apples, etc. It's a great peeler.

11. We've got the same one. Best on the market!
It never seems to have lost any sharpness, its easy on the hand, and that end for putting the eyes out of spuds really works great.

7. I haven't used a peeler in years...
...I just realized. Potatoes and apples get pared, carrots just get scrubbed. How odd that is.
