the new Calphalon is working out well....

So far I like it a lot. I did have one minor issue this morning-- made huevos rancheros in one of the Calphalon skillets and the eggs stuck just briefly in one tiny spot-- it's been so long since eggs have stuck in my cast iron skillets that I'd forgotten that they COULD-- and I broke a yolk. Otherwise everything slid out just fine, and honestly, I think I could have avoided breaking that yolk if I'd been a bit more careful with the spatula. I'm just accustomed to eggs FLOATING in well seasoned iron skillets. Anyway, I was half afraid that I'd get the Calphalon and hate it, and that it would just sit in the cupboard unused. That's not a worry any longer-- it's good stuff. And jeez, sauce reductions go FAST!

I am trying to save money. That means not spending it, even on good deals.

Maybe just one new pot....... just to see how it goes.......

I thought they were just for hanging on the wall and looking at.
