Free software for recording an audio book?
Hi -
I've got an ancient Mac powerbook (2004) running OSX 10.4.11 including the 2003 version of iTunes.

I'm thinking I would like to help a friend record an audio book, but the iTunes does not really seem to be the way to go about that.

Can anyone suggest some freeware that might get the job done easily and simply for a couple of non-techie types?

You might look at Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/).
