I love Macs and Backbooks, but why is the 17" model so expensive at $2499?

I love Macs and Backbooks, but why is the 17" model so expensive at $2499?
A comparable Winbloat lappy is $1500 (and also would include blu-ray drive and faster video subsystem :( )

And while 17" is nice, it uses a TN panel - poor viewing angles and at 17", it's no good for photo editing...

The 15" models are worth the cost, but 17" - gotta call it out as legitimately overpriced. :(

1. One reason:
DDR3 RAM and the related chipsets cost a bit more.

That explains some of it...

All the 17" windows lappies use DDR2.

I still think it's a tad overpriced, but not as much as previously thought.
