5. Don't worry that this isn't an official MS website.
Microsoft sucks, they don't even have old mac versions for download.

Select version 5.2.3, apparently the last available.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_Explorer_for_Mac

About Internet Explorer :

Internet Explorer for Mac, a.k.a. Internet Explorer:mac or Internet Explorer Macintosh Edition, was a proprietary but free-of-charge web browser developed by Microsoft for the Macintosh platform. Initial versions were developed from the same code base as Internet Explorer for Windows, however later versions diverged, particularly with the release of version 5 which included the Tasman rendering engine. As a result of the five-year agreement between Apple and Microsoft in 1997, it was the default browser on Mac OS before it was replaced by Apple owned Safari web browser. Internet Explorer remained available for the Mac OS until January 31, 2006. No major updates had been released since March 27, 2000 aside from bug fixes and updates to take advantage of new features in Mac OS X. Internet Explorer is property of Microsoft, Inc. .

10. Another possible option is to use a browser that can masquerade as IE
iCab and Opera supposedly can do this, for example

11. If you eventually getting forced to use a version of Windows....
I've been using Boot Camp on mine, and it works great. I've never trusted the idea of Fusion or Parallels (which have you run Windows simultaneously with Mac). Boot Camp requires a separate boot into Windows, but the upside is that everything Windows is on a separate partition, so when you're not running it, it for all practical purposes doesn't exist.

I have one application I need for my company that can only run under Windows. I would sure rather go completely Microsoft free!

12. Kind of ironic
I wanted to access my Mobile Me email at work. I found out that Mobile Me doesn't think too highly of IE when you try to access it through there. It gave me a message saying to either use Safari or Firefox.
