• "Black in Window" ... ever heard of it ?

I've been trying to figure this out for a year. • (1) If I enter command|option|escape to Force Quit an activity that has hung; and (2) wait, for whatever reason, to click anywhere in the Force Quit Applications window;, (3) the Mac vocalizer says to me, "Black in Window needs your attention!" • I don't remember if, prior to this, it vocalized, "Force Quit Applications needs your attention!" • WTF?
