Selling my MacBook on eBay - question re. specs
Hi there. It's my first time posting in this forum, and I seek your counsel!

I'm inheriting my husband's 120 GB MacBook, so I listed my 60 GB white MacBook on eBay. Someone bid via "Pay Now" this morning and then emailed this evening about the DVD drive. I frankly never tried to burn a DVD with it, but the System Profiler says "DVD Write -R, -RW," and the specs on the Apple site say "SuperDrive" (which the buyer was asking about).

My pertinent specs:

60 GB
2.0 GHz
Intel Core Duo processor
512 MB DDR2 SDRAM

The Mac was purchased in October 2006.

I just wanted to make sure I am correct in telling him it has a SuperDrive. The specs on my machine don't put it that way, but the specs online do.

Thanks for any help you can provide!

1. Just print out all the info from the system profiler
Apple logo top left > About this Mac > More Info > Disc Burning. I have a 2005 iBook which has the standard combo drive, and it gives me this...

Cache: 2048 KB
Reads DVD: Yes
CD-Write: -R, -RW

2. That's pretty much what mine says
The buyer is mainly concerned about DVD burning capabilities. I'd never even tried that, frankly, but I got a 3-pack of DVD-Rs and am experimenting now. It seems to be doing something!

Thanks for your help. :hi:

3. Good luck.
Be sure and double pack the MacBook and include all the install discs and cables. I'm sure you know to erase everything on the hard drive before you ship it.
