Adobe & Apple have you by the balls if you need to upgrade
I want to upgrade from Illustrator CS to CS2, but Adobe is only selling upgrades to CS3. In order to use CS3 Id have to upgrade my OS to 10.4, and then that would mean I'd need to upgrade my RIP software and God knows what else. I'm probably looking at $1000.00 by the time it's over and I don't know how many hours of downtime and frustration.

Actually, the clock is already ticking on the frustration part.

1. Such is life with professional applications
I use Final Cut Pro and it is very expensive. I don't upgrade every time, but I don't want to get too far behind either.

2. You can still buy CS2 upgrades elsewhere.
Amazon still has copies. Others too.
