iTunes 7.0 update problems
anyone else dealing with the "do not disconnect" issue with the iTunes update?

all i'm finding is: erase your ipod and re-install the ipod software. (who does THAT sound like?)

but i have so much on my ipod and not in my hard drive (i needed the space on my hard drive), i don't want to lose all this stuff on my ipod to re-install. some of the "move files from ipod to computer' programs i've found throw the mp3 files back into itunes, which i don't want to do either, because then i'd have to pick through that whole file trying to figure out what was on my ipod and what wasn't.

oy.

i'm at a loss.

on the other hand, aside from the "do not disconnect" screen ,never going away, the ipod seems to be working ok

not too happy about this upgrade, that i just did, thinking apple wouldn't be breaking my relatively new 30GB video ipod.

sheesh

also: i'm up to 7.0.1, since i thought this was a fix, but i read elsewhere, that it was a fix for WINDOZE users! huh? hey apple: take care of us first, then the people who have not invested in your computers, please.

1. So far iTunes 7 gets a big thumbs down from me
I lost over two hundred dollars in music and shows because I had them on my ipod and when I upgraded, it automatically "updated" my ipod and erased all of them because they weren't on my hard drive!

I don't like having to figure out where all the new buttons for things are as well. I have better things to do with my time than constantly learn new software. It was fine the way it was before.
