OSX Mail and Sherlock Questions
1. I was using Outlook Express and loved creating separate "new" file folders to save emails. I can't figure out how to do it in OSX. Can it be done?

2. In System 9.2 I was able to search for documents on the hard drive. When I use Sherlock on OSX, it searches the internet. How do I find files and docs on the hard drive?

Thanks.

1. I don't know about Outlook Express, but in the Mail program
that comes with the computer, just go to the Mailbox menu and click on "New..."

The location should be "On my Mac," and there's a space for naming the mailbox. New mailboxes appear in alphabetical order in the "drawer" where the inbox, outbox, drafts, sent mail, trash, and junk mail folders are.

2. Thanks. I thought I had
searched all of the mail menus for "new"...must have missed it.

Sometimes I can't see the forest for the trees.

I've been working on Macs since 1990 and have to tell you that this OSX has me crazy. I really don't like it ---- yet.

3. You will
Now on the rare occasions when I go back to Classic, it looks clunky to me.

4. I'm still on Classic at the office.
Gotta tell you, again, I prefer it.
