I received this through one of my animal rights and rescue groups. I do not want to post it on the Maryland state forum because there are probably hunters who will flame me. If you have any friends or relatives in Maryland, please pass this on.

Act Now: Maryland State Agency to officially promote hunting

H.B. 1086, "Hunting Heritage Act", the bill to mandate hunting was
just put on the MD house agenda. It will be voted on by the full
floor this morning or tonight. Please call and email your delegates
and urge them to oppose this ridiculous bill. When you call and
email your legislators in opposition to HB 1086, please be sure to
refer to this bill as the "Hunting Heritage Act."

A state agency should have a goal to promote recreational hunting -
something that LESS than 3% of the citizens of MD take part in. Nor
should state lands HAVE to be hunted.
