I was eating lunch with my hubby and father-in-law today at a local restaurant.

FIL ordered the beef noodle soup. Now, I'm not usually sqeamish about people eating meat in front of me. But when the waitress brought his soup he exclaimed, "OOOOO! Look at that MEAT!" And pointed to the big chunks of beef in the soup. For some reason it really sickened me. It almost seemed like he was getting obscene pleasure out of admiring hunks of dead cow.

I dunno why, but it really grossed me out.

It's so childish. You should print out and start carrying a photo of a skinned cow. Whenever FIL or somebody pulls a stunt like that, break it out, slap it on the table and then calmly go back to your meal. As a matter of fact, I think that's what I'll do.
