Idaho Man Rescues Injured Dog, Gets Arrested

http://www.idahostatesman.com/235/story/1004811.html

"Jackson said he got involved in trying to help the injured dog a couple of weeks ago, after an another animal welfare advocate from the Upper Valley Humane Society was charged with trespass when she tried to talk to the owner of the dog. He said a neighbor had reported that the dog was howling from pain because she'd been hit by a car at least once, possibly twice. The dog and her pups were living outside in the yard."

This story needs national media exposure.

Law enforcement should be required to investigate all allegations of animal abuse and neglect. In this Idaho county, they protect the abusers.

1. I don't care if Jackson DID lie to him.
Fact is, momma dog is getting the care she needs and got spayed, and she and her puppies are out of harm's way. That asshole wouldn't have ever gotten the dogs back from me either. Troy A. Jackson is a hero.

If I were a gambling man (which I'm not) I'd have big money riding on some expensive kickass lawyer taking his case pro-bono.

3. The owner should be the one in jail for neglect
The poor dog had a broken pelvis and front leg, for god's sake.
