Need a little help please, new vegetarian here, question about b12.
Hi all, i've been off meat since December 26th and so far so good but i have a question about vitamin b12, i was reading a vegetarian mag yesterday and there was an article about needing to have a b12 supplement, is this true and can anyone recommend one if so? Please and thank you.

1. First, do you take a daily vitamin?
If so, check how much B12 is in that. Otherwise, if you *really* think you need to supplement, taking a daily isn't a bad idea.

My BlueBonnet Super Earth has 4167% of the RDA.

That said, B12 is usually only a "concern" for vegans. Vegetarians can get B12 from dairy and eggs if they eat those products.

Congrats on your almost 90 day anniversary! How do you feel?

2. Thank so much for your help, i feel good and still not missing meat at all.
i do a multi vitamin but it doesn't contain enough b12 so i picked some up today after talking to the pharmacist.

3. Good for you!
Notice any changes? Like energy or weight or general feeling?

With your multi/supplement, you should be good to go. Glad your pharmacist was able to help you out.

5. Did you have 12 lbs to lose?
Congrats if you did!

Coincidence? May very well be. Whatever the reason, I'm glad your surgery was averted.

BTW, wait'll your next cholesterol test comes up...

maintain the loss now will be good, this whole big change of eating actually got me to my goal, you know i lost a lot of weight in the past almost 3 years but somehow i could never get to where i wanted to be until now and i feel good about it, i feel good about finishing something you know?
