Amy's spinach pizza with vegan cheese is pretty bland, and the rice crust is a bit spongy compared to a proper crust. With some red pepper flakes and some garlic it was pretty good, but I really don't want to spend much time doctoring a frozen pizza that costs $7.

If the good folks at Amy's happen to see this, a spicier sauce and a little more garlic would to a long way toward making the pizza something I'd buy more often.

I picked these up around 4 months ago:



The Husky 24" deal is an incredible value at $20. The cutting ability is excellent. I made short work of an old, rusty steel shed using these bad boys. Or something.

The 14" Workforce deal here:



is $15 and are better for chain link due to the decreased clench travel, weight and ability to be hidden.

Lastly, what's great about both sets is that the grips are rubber. Worried about fingerprints? Slice 'em and carry 'em out if you need to drop the tools. For $20 bucks, there is no better largely untraceable item out there if you need to snip and dump.

Living Harvest chocolate hempmilk:

In terms of texture and thickness, it reminds me of Blue Diamond chocolate Almond Breeze before they reformulated, it's definitely a bit on the thick side and has a strong chocolate flavor. Flavor-wise, it's pretty similar to chocolate Silk, making it a great option for people who can't have soy or who want to vary their diet more.

Lesser Evil PeanutButter and Choco (flavored popcorn)

I got this in a care package from some friends a few weeks back. The peanutbutter is not overwhelmingly peanutbuttery. I like it. I could eat a whole package, no problem. The chocolate? I get the feeling it's an aquired taste I haven't acquired yet.

If Lesser Evil sold a box with only the peanutbutter, I'd need larger pants. Thankfully, they do not.

(Warning: Most of the other Lesser Evil products contain clarified butter.)

Oh, how I despaired of ever getting a good bit of caramel again. It's one of my favorite sorts of junk food. Then I found this and it was good and just a bit mapley and the texture was nice and I was very happy. :9

9. I really like the hemp milk.

I found out a few months ago that I'm allergic to soy (let me expound on how much THAT sucks...), so this is a nice alternative to rice milk. Plus, it's great in baking, since rice milk isn't so terrific in that regard.

6. New Balance synthetic 811's are the most comfortable shoe on the planet

I prefer the velcro style, just looks a bit nicer for the office, etc. But the lace-ups are okay, too. And made in the USA, which is good for labor reasons.

Also, a few weeks ago, I posted asking about vegan makeup brushes. I found this site...

With nothing but synthetic brushes, and much less expensive than other sites (which probably means they're made in China, but then, so was the one I ordered from The Body Shop).

Someone was asking recently about vegan vitamins. I started taking Arbonne hybrid vitamins (yep, vegan) recently and I honestly feel better. I can't attribute it directly to the vitamins for sure, but some minor health concerns stopped about the time I started taking 'em, so I'm going to keep using 'em. Like most Arbonne products, they're a bit pricey, though. A parishioner has become an Arbonne distributor (think vegan Avon lady) recently, so I felt compelled to make a purchase. Now, I'm glad I did.

And yes, that Better than Bouillon vegan broth is really good. I recommend it!

7. Soyboy Tofu Ravioli

I picked up a package of the Original at Whole Foods and found it to be delicious.

Original Tofu Ravioli is made with superior durum flour for a light texture and is filled with a deliciously seasoned organic tofu filling.

If I ever see it in a store I'd love to try the Ravioli Rosa, which sounds yummy.

Ravioli Rosa combines the light taste of tomato pasta with a roasted sweet red pepper and organic tofu filling.

10. Kicking for new stuff!

Urban Decay surreal skin mineral powder in Illusion. It costs too damned much money, but I like it. Which is saying a lot, because I haven't even owned any makeup for years. It makes me want to buy more.

11. Newmans Own Hermit cookies

Cookie perfection for store bought cookies, in 3 flavors: regular, cinnamon & ginger.

Ginger is preferred at our house.

These are somewhat new, and since Newmans gets fairly wide distribution, many should be able to find locally.

14. Cliff Nectar Dark Chocolate & Walnut bars - the healthiest chocolate fix ever.

only 1.5 g saturated fat per bar (from the walnuts, probably, which are good for you in small quantities because of the omega fatty acids in 'em), high potassium, high fiber. The main ingredient is dates but they really taste chocolatey. I also like the Cherry Pie flavor Lara Bars.
