Recipe for a superfood hydration summer drink.
I am on a grueling schedule this week. I equate what I am doing to a virtual marathon.

( My job? I work for the airlines (flight attendant) and the schedule is brutal. If you have read here and there the airlines have had massive layoffs and bankruptcies and remaining skeleton crews are doing double duties to go along with their huge pay cuts. If you have been on some of the major carriers lately give the folks there a break, many are very bitter about losing homes, spouses along w/ other challenges. 14 hour days are the norm w/ early wake ups 4 legs a day that means four take offs four landings. Like tomorrow, I wake up at 4a.m. for a 5 a.m showtime.)

So my now very simple vegan diet is budget friendly and my BP is coming down, down down!!!!
I am trying to keep it together and thanks to this little virtual neighborhood, I have learned how best to prepare for this physical assault. I am almost 98% vegan now. Feeling great lots of energy, and I have a recipe for a super hydrating drink:

In a bottled water container (I am using the 1.5 liter size every day)
add: 1 green tea bag
orange rinds (about 2 tbsp.)
dash of orange juice if desired
and 2 tbsp of goji berries(sun dried Tibet)

The goji berries are kind of a treat, because they become re hydrated in the water and you can eat them like a cranberry.

I have done this now for two days---thought I would share ....

2. That sounds really yummy
Take care of yourself. I know you have a tough job. You all work very, very hard. I have been flying quite a bit over the past few years and try to be an undemanding passenger. :D

I'm sure you can tell stories. :yoiks:

Take care. :pals:

3. It really quenches my thirst from cabin altitude dehydration,
but our real problem at work is with fatigue, and it is getting worse systemwide for all airline personnel. Personally, I am combatting it very agressively with my lifestyle change to vegan. But in all honesty, I wish I could just somehow make a living for myself and my critters at home and travel very very minimally. sorry if this is rambling, just very tired right now.
Stories? They would just be primarily complaints. (sigh)
Like now, I have been up since 4 am EST, flying all over the southeast and I have got to get some rest because I am in classroom training tomorrow (for two days) for a new international aircraft. Then I go to DC on Tuesday for a union rally protesting the FAA for not releasing the results of a study they completed on fatigue and working crewmembers. All this is not too interesting at all. Wish I were at home with my crew. (5 rescue pups & a kitty)
