5. I like the poem she posted -
O Woman! Lovely Woman!
Nature made thee
To temper man: we had been brutes without you.
Angels are painted fair, to look like you;
There's in you all that we believe of heaven, -
Amazing brightness, purity, and truth,
Eternal joy, and everlasting love.

-- Thomas Otway (1652-1685)

Not sure of the meaning of her comment about pre-Raphaelite portraits...?

6. pretty gorgeous
One thing just hit me, er, in the face, though -- that one brown face ... making it pretty hard not to then see that one had just realized how white "art" is.

And how pretty and unthreatening the women in it are ...

9. This was incredible, but it is definitely the face of the European feminine--
the lack of different ethnicities was interesting, but not surprising.

11. To be fair...
It did say "western art", and most Western artists rarely saw women of other ethnicities up until the mid twentieth century, and got their paychecks doing portraits of rich people's wives.
Amazing video, anyway. Wonder how they did it?
