CENSORED: Birth Control Information
Here's another sign that we are headed back to the dark ages. Grrrr.

"Students at Oak Ridge High School were apparently unaware that birth control is a forbidden subject. The latest issue of the student newspaper - which featured an informative factual article on the subject - has been censored by school officials. All 1,800 copies of the newspaper have been seized. . . ."

1. "Censorship got me pregnant"
Great shirt. And if my mother would have given me the finger shaker treatment (don't do it, no bc information) I would most likely have got pregnant, not gone to college, etc, you know the story.

2. I too was unaware that it was a forbidden subject
I thought that was covered in a court case--the name of which escapes at the moment--in like 1963.

Tattoos and body piercings too? Let's make sure kids get all the way through high school completely isolated from the real world so they can graduate with no clue how to conduct themselves in the aforementioned real world.

In this case it looks like the kids are already way smarter than the adults.

3. I agree

If kids were in charge, it would be a better world.

4. "If we don't teach our teenagers about sex, they won't do it"--a quote
from beverly le haye years ago on one of the afternoon talk shows (don't ask why I actually had such a thing on, I can't remember)
the whole audience just howled at that one, and the host (can't remember whether it was phil or merv) shook his head, looked at her, and said, "you don't really believe that, do you?" she insisted that she did.

that kind of delusional stupidity is almost beyond belief.

5. Wondered why "Ask Alice"
I wondered about some of the questions and answers listed on Columbia U's "Ask Alice". This seems to explain the gross misinformation some kids have.
