Women's rights advocacy groups: opinions?
What are the best, most innovative, most effective ones out there these days?

1. NOW, NSF, AFL-CIO, the list goes on and on
I tend to trust and therefor support the org's that are actually willing to put their money where their mouth is. I was once a subscriber to Ms., but they've disappointed me too many times with their (recent) capitalist propaganda.

Go with those that speak to your heart...or garner your anger. Either way you'll feel called to activism, hopefully.

Women's rights are so far reaching, and multi-cultural that putting your proverbial foot in one area will have an effect elsewhere.

2. What is NSF?
I haven't heard of that one. (And I suspect you're not referring to the National Science Foundation.)

3. As a long time supporter of NOW and NARAL I was very
disppointed at their attitude during the election. They whined that they were not being paid enough attention to. Not enough air time for their respective causes. Well f**k me running, Kerry had his hands full and made it clear where he stood on womens reproductive rights and other womens issues. I wrote them a very nasty email and told them to quit whining and get off their asses and support the only candidate that is in their corner. Lets face it, they know where *bush stands.

I am still mad at them for not putting their support solidly and publicly behind Kerry.
