Earth and Moon from the Juno spacecraft
Edited on Wed Aug-31-11 12:38 AM by pokerfan

This image of Earth (on the left) and the moon (on the right) was taken by JunoCam on the Juno spacecraft, three weeks after its August 5 launch. On August 26, 2011, the spacecraft was already almost 10 million kilometers away from the Earth-Moon system. Credit: NASA / JPL / MSSS

3. "Fascinating"
Brings out the Spock in me.
That image sure reveals the vastness of space, and puts the moon's proximity in unique perspective.

Thanx for posting.

Mike & I were talking about the “Pale Blue Dot” and Carl Sagan’s powerful message, its relevance & perspective. If you’ve never heard this 1996 commencement speech before, please take a few minutes to watch the video below and share it with some friends. You won’t be disappointed! – Moni Pineda
