CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. - It's official. The space shuttle Endeavour will take off on its final flight on Friday, April 29. NASA announced the launch time of 3:47 p.m. EDT after a flight readiness review at Kennedy Space Flight Center here.

The crew consists of Commander Mark Kelly, Pilot Greg H. Johnson, NASA Mission Specialists Michael Fincke, Andrew Feustel and Greg Chamitoff and European Space Agency Mission Specialist Roberto Vittori. They are scheduled to arrive at Kennedy on Tuesday, April 26, for final launch preparations.

STS-134 is the 134th shuttle mission, Endeavour's 25th flight and the 36th shuttle mission to the station.

Kelly is the husband of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, R{sic!!!}-Arizona, who was shot and critically injured in January during a meeting with constituents at a Tucson grocery store. She will attend the launch, NASA has announced.

Giffords won't be alone. Some estimates have put the crowd watching the second-to-last space shuttle launch at 500,00 or more. The last shuttle launch will be June 28 when the orbiter Atlantis lifts off to close out the 30-year shutlte program

1. Cool
Godspeed to Endeavour and her crew.

Regarding the typo:

"Kelly is the husband of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords, R{sic!!!}-Arizona, who was shot and critically injured in January during a meeting with constituents at a Tucson grocery store. She will attend the launch, NASA has announced."

Well, your article was linked from the conglomeration of Alabama newspapers, so what'd you expect - kinda like faux nooz putting "Rs" after Democratic representative's names.
