Has anyone else read "On Intelligence"? by Jeff Hawkins?

I found it to be a very interesting book, and very informative. Maybe if you're familiar with the concept of the brain as a heirarchical pattern-recognition engine, this is old hat, but it was new and fascinating for me. The thread below about recognizing cessation of noise brought it to mind...
