What does Daniel 5:29 mean?
Then commanded Belshazzar, and they clothed Daniel with scarlet, and put a chain of gold about his neck, and made a proclamation concerning him, that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom.

1. It means that Stilton is going to be president unless Johnny
stops him. And we'll all die.

5. NIV puts it the way I've always taken it.
"Then at Belshazzar's command, Daniel was clothed in purple, a gold chain was placed around his neck, and he was proclaimed the third highest ruler in the kingdom."

6. So who is Belshazzar? Homeboy with the ring? Stilsen is Daniel.
So who are the 2 highest rulers.

To apply it to real life...

Sounds like Chimpy is Daniel and there are 2 black hooded neo-cons who are commanding him are actually running the country.

9. It's got it's highs and lows.
Usually the Stilson plots are good because the show really needs a story arc to work well. And the ones where they mix in other psychics. But some of the one-off episodes are pretty lame. They really punted and blew a good chance to give a great artistic rendering of the inside of an autistic mind a few episodes ago.

I was pretty impressed with the series finale of the 4400 before that. Looks like the writers realized that keeping the status quo would make any season 3 plot constipated and monotonous and decided to shake things up more than just a little.

10. Daniel had been a friend of the Babylon court for many, many
years. He had performed great services for that country, even though he was a Jew. Nebuchadnezzer was now dead, and Belshazzar was not a good king. When the Persians were virtually outside the gates of the palace, Belshazzar was feasting, and the "handwriting" appeared on the palace wall: Thou art weighed in the balance and found wanting. Belzhazzar knew Daniel had dared to tell him the truth when he decifered it, and he honored him. But it was too late. Darius of Persia took the Babylonian kingdom that very night.
