Jared Woodfill, Chairman of the Harris County Republican Party in Texas, must think Hispanics are stupid with his recent op-ed in the Houston Chronicle "Hispanics can feel right at home in the Texas GOP". (
http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/editorial/outlook/5133443.html ) While most of his op-ed is about how his party has appointed Hispanics such as Alberto Gaonzales to high positions, he insults us with his charity for life program:
In fact, the local party continues to grow in the Hispanic community, participating in its fourth annual bike program and Thanksgiving celebration at J.R. Harris Elementary (a Title I school that is 95 percent Hispanic)Woodfill's party hands out bikes expecting to gain their lifetime trust, while cutting insurance for low income families to cover the cost of when they fall off. And they feed them turkey while cutting services to guarantee they don't get sick from eating them.
