Statute on Truth?
I grew up across the street from a family of right wing nuts. Birchers who ran an anti-communist film service that shipped propaganda to missionaries around the world. I was a preteen and their son was 6 years older than me. He molested me in his parents home many times when I was ten and eleven. Fast forward some forty years and this same guy is on the City Council of the the 24th largest city in the US. He ran as a faith influenced politician who historically was anti-gay but seemed to have a change of heart around election time in this generally liberal city. He also is a spokesperson for Domestic abuse and violence issues. For years he was well-placed in the local police department. I have a real desire to publicly state my historic experience with this guy. His hypocrisy really burned me up after I started reading about how soul searching opened his eyes to more acceptance towards gays and how he is an elder in a very conservative church in town. Now I am well aware that homosexuality and child molestation are not borne of the same fruit, haha, but I'm just wondering what kind of feedback including recrimination might come from my calling him on his sh*t.

1. I say do it.
Say his name. What you have to realize is that the "spirituality" of child molesters like him is a LIE. They try to lay claim to spirituality only to keep their victims from discovering that real raw aspect of the human spirit that knows right from wrong and doesn't care about recrimination. There are some things we need to do because they are right, period.

2. Before speaking out with the accusation of child molestation...
please consult an attorney. You need to be aware of the possible consequences should he seek legal recourse.

Hire one for an hour, if you can't afford it, call legal aid.
