Orthostatic hypotension is common, but I just heard about Orthostatic Intolerance and am interested if anyone here has run across it. Thanks.

2. Some are saying that Obama suffers from "Orthostatic intolerance"
Because he doesn't stand for anything.

Not that I believe such a thing.

4. Here's a pretty good link on the subject.
Wikipedia also has an article on the subject, and there are a number of pages on it you can find with a Google search for the term.

5. Thanks, I did a search and read a bunch already. Wondering if any here
might have run across it in the real world also. I've dealt with orthostatic hypotension most of my life, personally, family and professionally. Have just run across this Intolerance thing and and finding it interesting. I don't have a strong opinion on it yet, in 1 way it pulls together bunch of symptoms commonly found together into a group, in another way it seems like not a "real" diagnosis but a description that can be misused. I hope that makes sense.

6. Yeah, I understand. I have mild orthostatic hypotension, too.
I've had it since my 20s, and I'm now 65. It hasn't been a big problem, and I stay hydrates, which keeps it under the radar almost all the time. I also get up at least once an hour when sitting and move around. This sounds like a collection sort of thing that lists a bunch of symptoms that are associated with it. Most sounded familiar.

It's important, I think, to be aware of it and behave accordingly.

8. can be related to adrenal exhaustion.
People with adrenal fatigue have BP that drops precipitously when they stand up.

They also have fluctuating body temperatures.
