NZ TV News Video: High dosage vit. C by IV brings back swine flu victim from "brink of death"
A New Zealand farmer was hospitalized after falling severely ill with swine flu. His family had been told that there was nothing more that could be done for him and that life support would be withdrawn. In spite of all the obstacles put up by the medical professionals at the hospitals involved, the sick man's family were able to get legal help and the doctors reluctantly agreed to administer high dosages of vitamin C (25gm per dose). The patient, to the astonishment of the doctors, recovered completely and regained his health. The doctors and hospital spokespersons declined to be interviewed or to participate in this NZ Channel 3 news report.

1. Rec'd it, but it seems it has been unrec'd
Two-time Nobel Prize winner, Pauling, was a great advocate of Vit C.

2. Somehow it feels as if something is
actually missing from this report. I mean, as great as Vitamin C can be, surely there was something else being used. Antibiotics maybe?

3. antibiotics don't work on viruses, I believe.
Antibiotics fight bacteria.

4. That's absolutely true.
I am under the impression that many people die from the complications of flu, i.e. bacterial infections because of a weakened immune system.

The part about his lungs being so totally filled with fluid was interesting. It was as if he'd had the kind of extreme immune response to the flu virus, which is what is currently believed to be the cause of death in the 1918 epidemic. Obviously, I'm not a doctor and I cannot diagnose anyone, especially at a distance.
