Spray version of 'cuddle hormone' can ease symptoms of autism
snip

A spray-on version of the 'cuddle hormone' oxytocin can ease some of the symptoms of autism, research shows.
People with autism who inhaled the spray became more sociable and trusting.

Although the effects were transient, the finding offers fresh hope for the 500,000 Britons with autism and related disorders and their families.

The study, by French government scientists, capitalises on years of research into the hormone oxytocin's ability to alter emotions.

Oxytocin is involved in sex and sexual attraction, promotes feelings of trust and confidence and helps to reduce fear.

1. pretty interesting.
My first feelings of happiness for some strides being made were quickly followed by a concern.

Can you imagine the abuses this could be used for against people? How would they possibly be able to control that? And now that the cat's out of the bag, how difficult is it to make and dispense illegally?
