not. poke needles in your skin and run current through them to see how much your muscles flinch. makes you feel like a frog leg on a tray.
i need a beer.

1. Docs ought to warn people about that one
It's actually one of the least fun tests out there, but it's incredibly useful for differentiating among several different movement disorders.

Reactions to it range from prolonged irritation to downright painful.

5. oh, i knew
it is my second one. i think this doc is a little on the sadistic side, but maybe it is just the test.
doc went back and forth between this one and an mri, but i think he already knows it is not a spinal cord issue, since they already remove the associated discs.
suspect there is an mri in my future anyway.

2. One of my favorites. When I was getting that, I wanted to take along a light bulb.
Me and Uncle Fester.

3. It matters greatly who does the test too.
I've had 3 of the damn things.

The first one was at a hospital. They used large needles that flipping hurt like hell and zapped the living hell out of me. Worst test I've ever had and I've had some nasty ones.

2nd two were from a neuro that uses acupuncture needles and a lot less voltage. While still unpleasant, it was an order of magnitude better than the hospitals version.

The test really does suck... how much it sucks depends on who you get to get it from though.
